D-Link ANZ has officially launched DAP-2610, a concurrent dual band wireless access point that promises to deliver a high-performance wireless networking solution to businesses. Built on the latest 801.11ac Wave 2 specifications, the DAP-2610 Wireless AC1300 PoE Access Point is the first of its kind in D-Link’s line up in ANZ.
Slim in design, the access point comes with a wall and ceiling mount and can achieve up to a maximum of 1300Mbps data throughput and can utilise both 2.4GHz (400Mbps) and 5Ghz (900Mbps) frequencies in parallel.
The new device can operate in a range of modes from being a standalone access point to being part of a more complex wireless distribution system (WDS). Similarly, the ability to run both frequencies simultaneously enables it to also work as part of a mesh configuration. A versatile solution suitable for a range of small to medium sized enterprises.
It should also be noted that the DAP-2610 comes with a higher-powered radio module with up to 23dBm output. Mixed with MU-MIMO Beamforming, the solution offers much better coverage than traditional access points.
In addition, the DAP-2610 supports 802.3af PoE which provides a good degree of flexibility of where and how it is installed. It also comes with a range of management options including and not limited to:
- Built-in web server with SSL support
- SSH
- Telnet
- SNMP
- D-Link’s Central WiFi Manager (CWM) management software
You can buy the D-Link DAP-2610 AC1300 Wave 2 Access Point now from D-Link Australia (RRP AUD$279) and D-Link New Zealand (RRP NZ$329) or any ANZ based authorised D-Link reseller.
