VLC by VideoLAN was pulled from the Apple App Store around 2 years ago soon after launch due to issues around it’s open source license. With the licensing issues all sorted, our favourite media player, VLC is finally back as version 2.0. VLC 2.0 continues to support a wide range of file formats and now also includes AirPlay and Dropbox integration. The app is progressively being rolled out so keep an eye out on the AppStore, it’s sure to make the top downloads list in no time. The source code is believed to be made available by 19th July.
