Tenda MW3 AC1200 Whole Home Mesh WiFi System

In the age of connectivity, it shouldn’t be an uphill battle to connect to the internet. If you’re looking for an affordable, easy-to-use mesh router system, the Tenda Nova MW3 is one of the best options available on the market.

The Tenda Nova MW3 falls on the more affordable end of the scale. While it’s cheaper than other systems, this is no reflection on the product’s quality since the Nova MW3 can perform as good comparative models that are twice the cost.

Here’s more about the Tenda Nova MW3 mesh router system and some of its best features.

Design

The Tenda Nova MW3 comes with three separate units, and each unit measures 90 cubic millimetres: It’s small, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing so your computer setup doesn’t make you look like a Hollywood movie hacker.

Each of the three nodes has two easy-to-access Ethernet ports so that you can connect several devices to it at once for a couple, family or business who make use of a shared network.

Setup

Setting up the Nova was pretty easy. You don’t need years of technical knowledge to set up the Nova MW3. All of the units are already paired, and setting up your unit is as easy as plug-and-play – you don’t even need to enter any personal information like your e-mail address to set up your network. Similarly, you don’t need to do anything with configuring the internet access. As long as it’s connected, it should pick up the settings automatically.

Getting guests who need to connect to your Wi-Fi? No problem – the Tenda Nova MW3 allows you to set up a network just for guests. You can easily set up a network specifically for guests so that you can monitor and control their use without having to give them access to the main Wi-Fi network or the password.

The Tenda Nova MW3 also features a small LED on the front. You don’t have to spend time guessing whether it’s connected or not: The LED-display on the main unit will tell you whether the 3 nodes are connected, within range and receiving power.

Performance

The Tenda Nova MW3 performed well during our signal tests with some room for improvement. The Nova MW3 offers you 5 GHz network access through a dual-band antenna system ensuring that you have an accessible connection no matter where you are around the house.

At this price point, it is worth considering if you are on a tight budget. Availability in Australia will be early December 2018.
