Introduction

The TCL 10 Pro is an incredible midrange phone that has some interesting features. The incredible display, stunning design, and quad-camera setup are only some of those. Let’s take a closer look at the device.

TCL 10 Pro Review

TCL is already a well-known brand in the world of TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, and other domestic technology. Their latest focus is on phones and the TCL 10 Pro is more than just an attempt. It is an incredible Android smartphone that was released back in May 2020.

The glass front and back combined with the aluminium frame make it unique at the price point already. But perhaps the most stunning part of this device is the AMOLED HDR10 6.47" display. It’s slightly curved on the edges and the front camera sits in the middle, so it’s not noticeable.

The 24 MP selfie camera is decent, but the main camera in the back is the real star. The main shooter is a 64 MP sensor, but it also has a 16 MP ultrawide, a 5 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor.

You can also use the NXT Vision feature to get a higher dynamic range and more vibrant colours. All in all, the camera setup is hard to beat at this price point and the images you get from the device are incredibly sharp.

When it comes to the internal specs, the TCL 10 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset and combines it with 128 GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. That’s very solid and pretty much standard at this price point.

When it comes to battery life, the 10 Pro once again does not disappoint. The 4500 mAh Li-Po battery combined with the AMOLED display and 18W fast charging make sure that you never run out of juice even after a very long day.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Great display
  • Excellent battery life
  • Very snappy
  • Solid build quality

Cons:

  • Camera low-light performance is not the best
  • NXT Vision oversaturates images

Conclusion

The TCL 10 Pro is all-in-all an amazing device by a well-known company. The premium build quality combined with the gorgeous display and decent internal specs adds up to an incredible device that costs only $749AUD. The cameras are very solid in daylight, but the night-vision mode could be better.
