Taking Amazon Prime for a Test Drive

It’s almost impossible to avoid Amazon these days. It has become one of the most popular online shopping platforms in the US and the UK, as it gives consumers access to a wealth of goods at the tip of the fingers. From baby products to food and everything in between, whatever it is that you are looking for, you can be sure to find it on Amazon.

It’s not just the available products that has made Amazon the preferred online shopping platform; it’s also their free shipping plan – Prime. Launches in 2005 in the US and 2007 in Europe, Prime is a shipping membership that allows those who join a variety of features. We also hope to see Amazon Prime launch in Australia sometime in 2018.

Amazon Prime’s most notable feature is its free shipping. US members receive free 2-day shipping for Prime eligible products, and UK members receive free next-day shipping. It also provides several other bonuses, such as unlimited streaming of TV shows, movies and music via Prime video, Amazon’s cloud service, as well as borrowing of books from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. Early Access allows Prime members dibs on deals. You’ll have a 30-minute head start over the general public on the price-reduced items that are only available for a limited time. In July, Amazon Prime Day gives members exclusive access to dozens of amazing deals on countless products, which are often offered at a significantly reduced price, and of course, are shipped for free.

Members get access to all of these features for USD$10.99 a month, or USD$99 a year. If you are curious about Prime, but don’t want to commit just yet, you can take advantage of the 1-month free trial period.

Is a Prime membership worth the investment? Absolutely! No other platform offers the ease, convenience and benefits as Amazon Prime. Imagine being the first to find out about awesome deals from the most trusted online retailer. How much easier would your life be if you could order a last-minute gift for someone and have it delivered in time to give it to the recipient? Picture being able to listen to music, watch a virtually limitless catalog of videos, or read your favorite titles from a library of never-ending books with the simple click of a button. With Amazon Prime, you will be able to do all of that, and so much more! Even if we weren’t an Amazon Affiliate (see disclaimer in our footer), we would still believe that Prime is one of the best investments you could make if you are a serial online shopper.
