Earlier this week at CES, Sony unveiled its new Z-series Android mobile phone. The Xperia Z1 Compact will sit alongside the other Z-series flagship products and what makes it different to its siblings is all that power packed into a 4” form factor.
The specs of the Z1 Compact are:
Processor | MSM8974, 2.15 GHz, Snapdragon 800 |
Display | 4.3”, 1280x720 IPS LCD |
Rear Camera | 20.7MPx, 1/2.3” sensor, F/2.0 aperture, 27mm equivalent focal length, “G lens” |
Front Camera | 2MPx |
RAM | 2GB |
Battery | 2300 mAh, 3.8V, 8.74 Whr |
Storage | 16GB Internal + microSD slot |
Dimensions | 127mm x 64.9mm x 9.5mm |
Weight | 137g |
From what we can see, apart from the smaller screen and battery capacity, the Z1 Compact compares favourably against big brother Z1. In fact, it still uses the same camera, SoC and RAM configurations, not to mention the IP58 rating as well.
