QNAP Release QTS 4.3.5 Beta

Over the years we’ve reviewed numerous QNAP devices. One thing we have loved about them was the QTS operating system and the ability to test out upcoming beta releases. QNAP have now released their latest QTS beta – QTS 4.3.5 for public testing. Before you run off an install on a production NAS, please remember that this is still a beta software and can include bugs. Best to install on a secondary system to test first.

“QTS 4.3.5 represents QNAP’s devotion to improving core NAS functionality, and we are continuing to make substantial leaps forward in both storage and network functionalities,” said Cherry Chen, Product Manager of QNAP, adding “Responding to an era that’s high-speed demanding, QTS 4.3.5 provides users with significant benefits and increased performance, free of charge, to effectively tackle performance and time-sensitive tasks.”

QTS 4.3.5 promises a lot of new features and performance improvements.  Some of these key features include:

  • Software-defined SSD extra over-provisioning
  • Restoring from remotely-stored snapshots
  • Flexible volume configuration and conversion
  • Revamped Software-defined Network & Virtual Switch app
  • Advanced support for SmartNICs
  • Brand-new Notification Center
  • And so much more
