Logitech Signature M650 Review - the mouse for large hands
SHARE

Designed for the office and in the workplace, the Logitech Signature M650L wireless mouse offers excellent performance. Currently, the Logitech M650L is available in two different colour schemes: Rose, and Graphite.

Now let’s take a deeper look.

Design

The Logitech M650L, has a contoured, symmetrical shape, and two buttons on the left side, which you can program using the Logitech software for use as media controls, hot keys, or gesture controls.

Despite the lack of a dedicated thumb wheel or tilting scroll wheels, the mouse wheel can scroll horizontally by pressing a side button and moving the mouse wheel at the same time. When you flick the scroll wheel quickly, it briefly unlocks for free-scrolling, although it is not a dedicated mode like the Logitech MX Master 3, which has two modes: notched and free-scrolling.

In terms of its free-scrolling feature, it differs from a more premium office mouse that has a button to toggle between notched and free-scrolling modes. By flicking the scroll wheel rapidly, you unlock the wheel briefly and allow it to scroll until it stops spinning. Its clicks are silent, so it is ideal for open plan office environments where you do not wish to disturb your colleagues.

Unfortunately, although this is a wireless mouse with two types of connection, we cannot pair the mouse with multiple devices at the same time.

Features

Having used the M650, I can see why Logitech considers it to be the mouse of choice for business and enterprise customers. This mouse is relatively inexpensive and offers several productivity and security features that will be useful in most workplaces.

Among the features that stand out is its wireless technology. When paired with a receiver, your mouse will be fully encrypted and FIPS compliant for the office or remotely.

Business users have the option of key binding the side buttons and scroll wheel to specific shortcuts within various applications using the supplied software. As a result, the side buttons on video conference calls can toggle mute and video, but they can also undo and redo changes in Microsoft Excel.

Final Thoughts

This Logitech Signature M650 mouse is an ideal travel companion. Because it is compact, it is extremely portable, and it includes a compartment where the USB receiver can be stored, so you will not have to worry about losing it. Both Windows and MacOS are fully compatible with this device, and it feels well-built and comfortable to use.
