Dell have unveiled new world’s first OLED monitor designed for PCs. On top of offering and OLED screen, the Ultrasharp 30 is able to display 4K resolution, as well as offer USB-C connection. The Ultrasharp 30 is a CES 2016 Innovation Award winner.
Offering deeper blacks, and more colourful images, the Ultrasharp 30 boasts a 100% coverage of the AdobeRBG colour space, response time of just 0.1 milliseconds, and offers a native contrast ratio of 400,000:1.
To counter the static image burn and image retention that OLED monitors can suffer with. Dell have developed a special pixel-shifting technology to combat static image burn in. They have also integrated a special detector into the monitor, which switches the monitor off when it has sensed that it hasn’t been used in a while.
Designed with media industry, graphic arts, and photography professionals in mind, the Ultrasharp 30 will also be available to consumers who desire the most immersive quality monitor. The OLED monitor will be available March at whopping AUD$6870.
