To keep up with changes in the marketplace D-Link have revealed two new home surveillance cameras as part of their new Vigilance Value Line.
The first of the two IP Surveillance Cameras is the Vigilance Full HD Outdoor Dome Network Camera (DCS-4602EV). The DCS-4602EV is approved for use in outdoor and indoor locations. Boasting two megapixel full HD resolution and infrared illumination allowing coverage up to 20 metres in darkness. Combined with a 96 degree field of view and video motion detection not much will be able to escape the watchful eye of the Vigilance Full HD Outdoor Dome Camera. The Dome Camera housing is rated against both weather and vandalism.
The other surveillance camera is the Vigilance HD Outdoor Mini Bullet Network Camera (DCS-4701E). As with the Dome Network Camera, the Mini Bullet boasts a 96 degree field of view, video motion detection, weatherproof rating, ability to place the camera in outdoor or indoor locations, and infrared illumination up to 30 metres. In terms of picture quality the Mini Bullet offers one megapixel HD 720p resolution. A compact and robust housing and an integrated cable management bracket offer additional vandal protection.
Both surveillance devices are suitable to be used in large, medium, and large enterprises, as well as at home. The devices come with a comprehensive management system, allowing for the cameras to be control from a single location, while also letting the user to receive e-mail alerts triggered by motion detection, keeping users informed of all unusual activity. When it comes down to it both cameras have a lot in similar, and choosing between the Dome Camera and Mini Bullet for home use will come down to personal preference and the AUD$50 price difference.
