Printer technology is a fast-growing industry and Brother is keeping up with this trend. The Brother’s HL-L3270CDW is what I would call a printer for the modern home office. It is a good option for homes and small business because of its compact and small design. The size of this printer does not, however, mean that it is inferior in any way. It has all the latest features that you need for your entry-level printer. If you are running a small creative business from your home, this will be a great addition to your home office.

What does this printer offer?

User-friendly control panel

Brother HL-L3270CDW Colour Laser Touch Screen

The touchscreen control panel makes using this printer easy.  Brother’s HL-L3270CDW comes with a 6.8cm TFT Colour Touchscreen LCD screen that is large enough to operate and control. It took no time to discover how the control panel worked. The control buttons will help you to change the printer setting based on your needs. Since this is also a wireless printer, you can use the control panel to connect to your personal computer, cloud or even Dropbox.

Versatile connectivity

With modern devices, connectivity is everything. The fact that this printer is wireless, you do not have to deal with wires hanging everywhere. However, you can still use LAN and USB cables to connect it to your devices if you want to go the old-fashioned way.

For better connectivity, this printer has the option to print from cloud, social media and even printing remotely. It also has the latest technology like touch to print connection and peer-to-peer protocols.

Speed

Even when buying a printer for home use or small-scale business use, speed is still important. Fortunately, Brother’s HL-L3270CDW has no issues when it comes to speed. It has a wide paper loading area, and you can load up to 250 sheets of paper at once. The printing speed is also quite good, and you will get 24 pages per minute. For small businesses that do not produce high volumes of prints each day, this is more than adequate.

Good print quality

The only way to determine the effectiveness and performance of any printer is to check out the print quality. We had the opportunity to test the print quality of this printer. We started by printing out texts in different font sizes. The print quality was good and consistent even in different font sizes. This is a good thing because most of the printers do not produce good print quality when printing small font texts. Even with the small fonts, we could see all the letters clearly and well-shaped.

Verdict

This might be an entry-level printer, but it still packs a punch. If you are not planning on doing any heavy-duty printing, the HL-L3270CDW will be more than enough. We found it to have excellent print quality and plenty of connectivity options. The ease of use and price makes this a great option for small businesses, beginners and students.
