The Belkin Powerhouse Charge for Apple Watch and iPhone is a dual charging dock that is designed to charge an iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. It’s similar to the Valet Charge Dock for Apple Watch and iPhone, also by Belkin, in that both products can charge an iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously; however, the Powerhouse Charge Dock is significantly lower in price than the Valet Charge Dock.

Phone and Watch on the Belkin Powerhouse

Aside from the price difference, the major characteristic that sets the Valet Charge Dock and the Powerhouse Charge Dock apart is the appearance. The Valet features a chrome pedestal and aluminum trim; whereas the Powerhouse is constructed of a soft-touch rubber and white plastic. It still has some decent heft to it, though, which makes it quite sturdy.

However, the overall footprint and the capabilities of the Powerhouse Charge Dock are virtually the same as the higher priced option. This dual charge dock boasts a built-in Magnetic Charging Module, which magnetically aligns an Apple Watch so that charging can start immediately. It is also outfitted with a Versa Case Lightning connector, which makes charging devices that are held in protective cases a breeze.

With the PowerHouse Charge Dock, both an iPhone and an Apple Watch will be held securely in place. You can also access both devices while they are charging so that you can still use them any way you desire; watch movies, listen to music, stream podcasts, surf the Internet, check your email or visit your social media accounts, for example.

The footprint of the Powerhouse Charge Dock is nice and compact, measuring 3.8 inches by 3.25 inches by 3.6 inches. The length of the arm measures 5 inches wide. With this small footprint, you’ll be able to use this charger on virtually any surface, such as a desk or a bedside table.

Another notable feature of the Belkin Powerhouse Charger is that it is actually certified to charge Apple Watches and iPhones. Many similar chargers are not certified by Apple to charge these devices. This means that you can be sure that the charging modules and the ports will meet the performance guidelines for your devices and ensure safe charging.

Features

The key features of the Belkin Powerhouse Charge Dock for Apple Watch and iPhone include:

  • Easy to adjust Versa Case for compatibility with devices kept in protective sleeves
  • Versa Case dial makes the height of the charger adaptable; it can be raised or lowered
  • Built-in magnetic charging module for Apple Watch
  • Built-in lightning connector for iPhone

Final Thoughts

While the Powerhouse Charge Dock for Apple Watch and iPhone by Belkin may not be made of the chrome and aluminum as the Valet Charge Dock, it boasts the same features and offers the same benefits. Given the significantly lower price tag and its capabilities, it’s certainly worth the investment.
