Apple have quietly pulled the on-device Apple TV 6.0 update from its servers following a number of tweets complaining about connectivity issues, unexplained resets and complete device bricking.
User currently on 5.3 will continue to receive the “up to date” message when checking for new firmware until the on-device update rollout recommences. You can still grab the image directly from the Apple site but for those that run untethered, you’ll need to wait a little longer.
No word from Apple regarding when this will be, not surprising really considering there is no official statement regarding the issue.
